For the Cardinals just like any other organization, fundraising is critical to our overall health and success. With out the funds we receive through fundrasing we could not continue to grow as we have in the past few years.
In 2008 we have experienced some major changes to our program, in that we have moved all of our practices from Grant High School where we have been since 1970 to the Field of Dreams Complex in Ingleside. With this move we have some new but critical improvements that we are trying to raise funds for. These improvements include, but are not limited to, the addition of permanant bathrooms, and lights. Also we have just built a new practice field on the South end of the complex which will be used for the first time this season, and we have a lot of equipment that we need to make this facility functional.
The Lakeland Cardinals rely on the generosity of our members as well as the businesses in and arround our community to allow us to keep our fees reasonable, make field improvements, purchase new equipment, provide quaqlity training to our staff, and do many of the other things we do for the community while still providing a safe and educational program for our participants.
Here are some of the ways in which we will be raising funds for our programs in 2008:

Annual Equipment Drive Raffle:
This year we have decided to make this raffle our mandatory fund raiser, and this raffle was chosen to create fewer burdens on our parents, children, and Board members. You can turn in your pre-paid ticket stubs at any time to your Head Coach, the Director of Special Events or any board officer. The drawing will be on Saturday October 21, 2008 at Hello Folks located at 78 E Grand Avenue in Downtown Fox Lake. This event will begin at 6:00 p.m.
1st Prize $500.00
2nd Prize $300.00
3rd Prize $200.00
Winners need not be present to win.
Make sure all names, addresses, and phone numbers are legible, so we can contact the winners!

Spaghetti Dinner:
We will be holding a spaghetti Dinner at the Fox Lake Fire Department Bingo Hall on Washington St. This is a great time, and an affordable dinner, and we hope you will bring all of your friends and relatives and come on out on Friday August 8th. This raises funds for needed improvements for the Cardinals Programs.

50 / 50 Game Day Raffle:
This is a raffle done on Game Days where everyone attending the game has a chance to purchase raffle tickets, and the winner splits the proceeds of the ticket sales with us.
