Hello Everyone,
Over the past few years the organization has increased the use of Directors and Committees. All director positions are a one-year Board of Directors appointment. Anyone who would volunteer to serve the Cardinal organization in one of these capacities must be nominated annually. During the November Board Meeting, the board solicited volunteers / nominations for those wishing to be considered for a director or assistant position. To date the board has only received limited interest.
Nominations are being accepted tonight at the Board Meeting, and then all month until the January meeting on January 21, 2009.
Here is a list of all the positions we need Directors for, and if there is anyone nominated there name will be there as well. We can have more than one person nominated for each position so please let me know what you would like to do. Also there are going to be some committees, and I will have that below as well.. You can be a Director or coach and still serve on a committee:

I hope I am not missing any Director or Assistant Director positions. You can sign up for consideration for more than one, but you can only hold one Director position.
Now as for Committees we have a few. Each Committee will have a member of the Executive Board serving on it, however the chair for that committee must be another member. Here are the committees we believe we need to have this year:
Cheerleading Competition Committee:
Cheerleading Director will serve on this committee
Assistant Director of Cheerleading will serve on this committee
Director of Cheerleading Special events will serve on this committee
Financial Committee: (The finance committee is the financial oversight committee. They will assist in developing the draft budget, recommending registration fees, etc.)
Executive Treasurer will serve on this committee
Assistant Treasurer will serve on this committee
Fundraising Committee:
Executive Treasurer will serve on this committee
Director of Cheerleading Special Events will serve on this committee
Sponsorship / Program Book Committee:
Assistant Treasurer will serve on this committee
Director of Football Special Events will serve on this committee
If you are interested in nomination for a Director or Assistant Director position, or would like to be a part of any of these committees please contact Dennis Whiton at the email address below, or in person. Nominations will be accepted until January 21st 2009.
We hope everyone including coaches will consider getting involved with these committees as we need as many people as possible working in all of these areas. The committees will meet at their own times and locations, so that they can present proposals or reports at the monthly board meetings.
